In-slot threaded fasteners

T-Slot Nuts for 20, 30, 40 and 45 Series Profiles

A reliable threaded anchor inside the extrusion slot for brackets, panels, rails and machine-frame accessories.

T-Slot Nuts for 20, 30, 40 and 45 Series Profiles

A T-slot nut creates a threaded anchor inside an industrial aluminum extrusion. Used with a socket screw, bracket or mounting plate, it connects frame members and secures accessories without welding. Because slot openings and internal cavities vary between extrusion systems, the outside geometry must be checked against the actual profile rather than the nominal series name alone.

Longjin produces common T-slot nuts for 20, 30, 40 and 45 series profiles and reviews special widths, heights, thread positions and materials from customer drawings. Most end-loading T nuts need to be planned before the frame ends are closed, so the assembly sequence and future attachment points should be considered during selection.

How to select

The fit between the nut and the slot cavity is more important than the product name. Check these points in order.

  1. 01

    Verify the slot system

Share the extrusion cross-section, supplier reference or slot dimensions to distinguish profiles within the same series.

  2. 02

    Choose the mating thread

Match the bolt and attachment hole, then consider the load and available thread engagement.

  3. 03

    Plan preloaded quantities

End-loading T nuts should be placed before the frame is closed, including extras for later attachments where needed.

  4. 04

    Set material requirements

Corrosion, cleanliness, appearance and cost guide the choice between steel, stainless steel and finish.

Applications

  • Frame bracket connections
  • Panels and door hinges
  • Sensors and linear rails
  • Workbench accessories
  • Conveyor supports
  • Modular frame extensions

Manufacturing & quality control

Inspection focuses on slot fit, outside dimensions, thread acceptance and surface condition. Critical dimensions can be checked against a confirmed drawing or approved sample before production, with inspection and packing requirements agreed for the batch.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a T-slot nut and a slide-in nut?

Both provide a threaded connection inside the slot, but geometry, loading direction and positioning behavior vary. Selection should follow the profile cavity and assembly sequence.

Are all 40 series T-slot nuts interchangeable?

No. A 40 series profile may use slot 8, slot 10 or another cavity design. The actual slot opening and internal dimensions need to be confirmed.

Can you manufacture from an existing sample?

A sample can be reviewed, but a drawing, target material, finish and expected volume provide a more reliable basis for production and inspection.
